Civita breakfast meeting  Wednesday 22nd of October

Earlier this year the former Russian prisoner of conscience Mikhail Khodorkovsky released his book, My Fellow Prisoners. Mr. Khodorkovsky was joined by the Chinese dissident Yang Jianli and the Iranian-born author, Marina Nemat, both of whom spent years as political prisoners. Each of the three featured speakers is a prominent former political prisoner.

At this Civita breakfast meeting the panelists discussed the human costs of promoting freedom in authoritarian states and the importance of expressing solidarity with the prisoners of conscience of today.
